Cassata provides a unique, flexible learning environment that
gives students, who would otherwise not be able to attend
school, another chance to pursue their education.
Why Cassata?
Open Entry and Exit Policy
Enables students who have dropped out of school or have had excessive absences at their previous school to not have to “catch up” with the rest of the class. Our open entry and exit system allows students to begin course work based on their current level and work at a schedule that allows them to be successful. We offer half-day or full-day schedules and students can choose from a morning or afternoon session. Graduation ceremonies are held in May and December.
Personalized Attention
Students receive personalized attention from caring teachers in small classes. Class sizes do not exceed 15 per teacher and 12 per teacher for the fundamentals of math and remedial reading courses. Teachers and counselors have an open door policy and communicate on a regular basis with students and their guardians about coursework, attendance, and progress.
Fully Accredited
All instructors are state certified in their subject areas and Cassata uses a state approved curriculum and textbooks.
Cassata is fully accredited by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools (SACS) and the Texas Catholic Conference.
Tuition Assistance
Tuition varies from $125 to $500 per month and is based on a sliding scale tuition that is dependent upon family income and size. The registration fee is also based on a sliding scale, ranging from $75 to $150 per year.
Caring and Safe Environment
Cassata High School is an outreach program of the Fort Worth Catholic Diocese, however, we do not teach religion and students of all faiths and backgrounds are welcome. Cassata encourages strong morals in its students and the staff serves as mentors, not just teachers. Expectations for students are high and Cassata’s firm model of discipline provides a safe, orderly and positive environment that allows students to achieve their goals.
Extracurricular Activities
Activities range from our student newspaper– Tiger Tales, the Annual Oceanography Contest at Texas A&M, student council, and yearbook to name a few. Our small size and sense of community entices many students to become involved in student activities for the first time in their school career. Community service is required for all students to provide opportunities for real-world learning, to raise self-esteem, and to increase a sense of civic duty.
Central City Location
Cassata is conveniently located on a major bus line in the Medical District on the corner of Hemphill and Morphy.
