Cassata is fortunate to partner with several organizations that provide our students with additional avenues for learning and growth:
TARRANT COUNTY JUVENILE SERVICES/JUVENILE PROBATION DEPARTMENT (TCJS/JPD) and TARRANT COUNTY WORKFORCE SOLUTIONS (WIA)
For ten years, Cassata High School has had successful, collaborative relationships with these two organizations, providing at-risk youth with an opportunity to receive a high school diploma or GED, helping them become productive members of society.
- Cassata is recognized as an OUTSTANDING WIA YOUTH EDUCATIONAL SERVICE PROVIDER.
- Cassata’s success with these programs is evident; twenty-eight WIA and three JPD students graduated this past year.
SUNDANCE BEHAVIORAL HEALTH CENTER
This partnership allows students who are receiving mental health treatment at Sundance to continue their education through Cassata’s individualized curriculum. After completing their in-patient treatment, many of Sundance’s students chose to enroll at Cassata to finish their high school degree.
TARRANT COUNTY COMMUNITY COLLEGE (TCC)
Cassata’s partnership with the TCC Stars of Tomorrow Program provides up to six semesters of college tuition for income eligible students. In addition, TCC admissions counselors regularly visit the Cassata campus to assist students with ACCUPLACER testing and the TCC enrollment process. Many students take classes at TCC during the afternoons to qualify for college credit through dual enrollment options.
100 BLACK MEN ORGANIZATION
The 100 Black Men Organization is a group of professional African American men who volunteer their time to enhance the educational and economic opportunities of African Americans. Specifically, this group will be visiting Cassata on a monthly basis and providing one-on-one mentoring opportunities to Cassata’s African American males.
KAPPA DELTA PI, TCC SOUTH CAMPUS
Kappa Delta Pi is an educational honor society at TCC South Campus that seeks to promote excellence through scholarship, leadership and service. The group volunteers at Cassata and will host a fundraiser in our honor during 2011. Furthermore, the group offers special guidance to Cassata students interested in pursuing an education major.
AB CHRISTIAN LEARNING MOBILE GO CENTER
The AB Christian Mobile GO Center will be visiting Cassata weekly to assist students with college research and financial aid assistance. Through this program, students will be working one-on-one with a mentor to establish their own customized college plan. The executive director of the AB Christian Learning Center will also be teaching an 8-week college preparation class during Wednesday electives.
BOYS AND GIRLS CLUB OF GREATER FORT WORTH
The Educational Talent Search program of the Boys and Girls Club is providing students with the motivation and support to enroll in a program of postsecondary education. Services include career exploration, financial aid, scholarship information, and assistance with applications.
ALL BRANCHES OF THE ARMED FORCES
Cassata High School received a Tier One Rating from the Military. This rating gives our students priority acceptance into all branches of the military and helps them qualify for a higher entrance ranking.
TCU NURSING DEPARTMENT
Offers Career and Health Fairs and Seminars
THE PARENTING CENTER
Provides educational opportunities for teens in the areas of child development, positive parenting skills and making responsible choices.
COLLEGE/TRADE SCHOOLS
Schools throughout North Texas visit Cassata to meet with students, opening their world to a vast range of opportunities available to them after graduation.
COMMUNITY SPONSORED PROGRAMS
Students from Cassata participated in a variety of community sponsored programs, including the Rotary Youth Leadership Assembly.
TEXAS A&M
Cassata students excelled at extra-curricular activities, among them is an oceanography program through the Dolphin Challenge Sciences Bowl.
SOUTHERN ASSOCIATION OF SCHOOLS AND COLLEGES
TEXAS CATHOLIC CONFERENCE EDUCATION DEPARTMENT
Cassata continues full accreditation by both the Southern Association of Schools and Colleges and the Texas Catholic Conference.
ROTARY CLUB OF FORT WORTH EAST
Rotary Club has provided funding toward transportation for field trips, including visits to Cowboys Stadium, Medieval Times, the Fort Worth Museum of Natural Science and History and Physics Day at Six Flags.
SAFE HAVEN
Group program that provides students with the tools they need to develop healthy dating and family relationships.
