Noche de Gracias is a fundraiser held once each year in support of Cassata High School. This event has been graciously hosted by Jody and Lanny Lancarte of Joe T. Garcia’s Restaurant for 15 years. Cassata collects approximately 10% of its annual revenue through this event. Proceeds from Noche help supplement tuition assistance, improve academic programs and provide much-needed technology and curriculum updates.
Cassata High School would like to extend a sincere thank you to Joe T. Garcia’s for hosting this event every year. Their generosity allows for all proceeds to directly benefit the students of Cassata High School by providing funds for tuition assistance, technology, classroom updates and academic program improvements.

Last year at Noche, Cassata introduced the Spirit of Cassata award to honor individuals who exemplify the mission and spirit of Cassata. We are pleased to announce that at this year’s event Cassata will pay tribute to a special group of men —former President of Cassata Sal Espino, former board chairs Joe Dulle and Joe Busch and former board member John Dittrich for having the vision to take Cassata’s campus to the next level.
In 2006, the 1921 building that houses Cassata was in dire need of a complete overhaul— the school was battling leaking walls, inefficient windows, and a sinking foundation; had no technology to speak of and countless other issues. This group banded together with the mission of tackling these problems and spent the next few years formulating a strategy— initiating a building assessment, creating a campus enhancement plan, recruiting new board members to help with the project and putting together the initial stages of the capital campaign.
As a result of their forethought and the hard work of the many others who joined in to help, Cassata students now attend school in a building that has been fully renovated and have access to state of the art technology.
