GOODNESS
Cassata Catholic High School is driven by our common devotion to the pursuit of truth, goodness, and beauty in all things. Cultivating knowledge of what is true, love for what is beautiful, and the courage to choose what is good is our Core Purpose.

Truth
At Cassata, we are uncompromising in our passionate commitment to the truth. Nothing we do can ever be opposed to the truth—the truth which, as Catholic Christians, we wholeheartedly believe and loudly proclaim is one and the same with the Triune God, borne witness to by Jesus Christ, Eternal Word and Incarnate Son of the God the Father and the indwelling of the Holy Spirit in the Church.

Beauty
Pope St. John Paul II said, "Beauty is the visible form of the good." Pope Benedict XVI called beauty "the radiance of truth." By evoking wonder and delight, beauty leads us to what is true and good. At Cassata, the role of the teacher is to inundate our students with genuine beauty so that, as Plato said, they will learn to love it, and by loving the beautiful, love what is true and good as well.

Goodness
An education which aims only to enlighten the mind of a student without orienting his heart toward the good is no education at all. As teachers, we have a solemn duty to train up our students in both intellectual and moral virtue. As a Catholic school, that means passing on our ancient and noble Catholic culture and patrimony—our convictions about what constitutes a life well lived.
