Health
At Cassata, academics are important, but so is the health and well-being of our students and teachers. Helpful information is included below, but please see the Family Handbook for full details on all health-related policies.
Illness and Attendance
While regular attendance is vital for student success, students who are ill should stay home and rest so they can get better and return to school as soon as possible. It is also important for students who may be contagious to stay home to prevent the spread of illness. Students must be free of fever (100°F or above), vomiting, and diarrhea for at least 24 hours before returning to school.
Immunization Records
According to the policy of the Texas Catholic Conference of Bishops and the Diocese of Fort Worth, all students of Catholic schools under 20 years of age are required to submit up-to-date immunization records prior to admission.
Medication
No medication, even over-the-counter medication, will be dispensed from the office or a school staff member, nor may students have medication in their possession or take medication at any time while on campus. Parents are required to inform the office of all medications students are currently taking in case of emergency.
Student Physicals
All students new to Diocese of Fort Worth schools must receive a physical by a medical doctor prior to admission. Please ensure you have your child's doctor complete the required health report form and return it to the office.
This summer, the Diocese of Fort Worth is hosting a back-to-school physicals event at Nolan Catholic High School on Saturday, August 8th from 8am to 12pm. Sign up here.
